Atlantic Container Line (ACL) is among the most reputed market operators on North Atlantic trades and its Ro/Ro and Container services are renowned for their speed, schedule reliability and overall quality level. The company offers a portfolio of weekly sailings covering ports in Northern Europe, the United States of America and Canada. One of ACL’s main strengths is its fleet of unique Ro/Ro-Containerships that can carry a combination of 2,000 TEU of containers, up to 1,000 TEU equivalent of heavy equipment, project and oversized cargo, and up to 2,000 vehicles. These five sister ships are the biggest of their kind in the world and have an angled two-lane stern quarter ramp of 450-tonne capacity allowing the simultaneous loading and discharging of Ro/Ro cargo and cars. Separate internal ramp systems within the vessels segregate cars from other vehicles, mafi trailers and break-bulk cargo. All of ACL's vessels are ISO 14001 certified and have also been granted certification under the ISM safety and environment system, thus meeting the highest environmental standards.
